Objective To explore the application effect of individualized nutrition support programs based on the concept of shared decision-making in hospice care for patients with tumors.Methods Eighty patients with end-stage tumors who were hospitalized at Tianjin Cancer Hospital Airport Hospital from March 2022 to March 2025 were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group using a random envelope method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received conventional hospice care and nutrition support for patients with tumors,while the experimental group received an additional nutrition support based on the concept of shared decision-making on the basis of the control group.The nutrition,immune function,quality of life,degree of cancer-related fatigue,and clinical outcome indicators of the two groups before and after intervention were compared.Results After 1 month of intervention,the Patient Generated Subjective Global Assessment score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,while albumin levels and body mass index were higher in the experimental group than those in the control group.CD4+/CD8+,natural killer cells,and immunoglobulin G levels were also higher in the experimental group than those in the control group.The score of the QOL Questionnaire Core-15 Palliative Care was higher in the experimental group than that in the control group,and the Cancer Fatigue Scale score was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The 6-month survival rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,and the incidence of nutrition-related adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,but there were no statistically significant differences between the groups(P>0.05).The incidence of infection complications was lower in the experimental group than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of nutrition support programs based on the concept of shared decision-making can optimize individualized nutrition intervention,enhance nutritional levels of patients,improve nutritional status,alleviate cancer-related fatigue,enhance quality of life,and improve clinical outcomes.
